Unique people and personalities have shaped the Highlands into a community with great diversity and a rich history. The Highlands identity was originally moulded by previous residents many of whom contributed in some way to the community or the City of Edmonton as a whole. Previous residents range from prominent businesspoeple, politicians, arts enthusiasts, athletes, and academics. Many of these residents are reguarded as leaders, founders and innovators.

The goal of the HHF has been to preserve and educate others on the lives and contribution of the people that helped build the Highlands. The profiles below appeared in previous issues of the Highlands Historical Foundation Newsletter and have been digitized for your review. The Oral History Committe continues to interview longtime residents and record their memories. Watch for new interviews and more personality profiles in the future.
